About The Role

We are looking for an Online Trading Assistant to support the wider ecommerce department in the continued growth of our website and operational activity. This is an exciting opportunity which will see you focus on content, analysis, reporting and trade to ensure our customer journey and is fully optimised and seamless across all devices.

The Ecommerce team is responsible for driving sales and profitability through Hobbs web and our partner websites. The Online Trading Assistant plays a key role within the ecommerce team managing product listing pages and completing daily site checks as well as key category analysis.

Working in close tandem with our Junior Online Trading Manager and Online Admin Assistant you will ensure that our products are impeccably merchandised across our websites and make great use of commercial insight to maximise opportunities and brand exposure.

Key responsibilities for the role include;

  • Partnering with the commercial ecommerce team to optimise product conversion across our sites through CRO, on site merchandising and up sells opportunities
  • Managing product listing pages, updating headers, SEO URLs and meta data in the CMS
  • Completing daily site checks to ensure a commercial experience for our customer
  • Assisting with season analysis to review lessons learnt and suggest action

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for an ecommerce or merchandising professional to move in their first trading role. As an Online Trading Assistant we will need you to demonstrate advanced Excel experience as well as numerical and analytical skills, experience of working with Salesforce is beneficial. A commercial outlook is essential in this role and we will need you to demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
