About The Role

We are looking for a PR and Retail Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing team to focus on the day-to-day planning and execution of our omni-channel marketing and PR campaign activity.

Our Brand Communications department is a centralised brand delivery team who manage, develop and promote our Phase Eight image and identity, bringing new customers to our brand and keeping existing customers up to date with all things Phase Eight.

Essentially, we are seeking a key PR and Marketing expert to champion our Phase Eight profile and deliver our seasonal marketing and PR strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing the PR & Retail Marketing strategies, both UK and Internationally, to drive footfall and traffic across all off and online channels. Responsible for managing all external press, influencer/celebrity communications and 3rd party collaborations and sponsorships, ensuring that optimum exposure is achieved and the brand ethos, spirit and reputation is maintained.

Key deliverables and responsibilities include;

  • Propose, develop and implement the seasonal PR/Retail Marketing communication strategy, proposing the budget required to deliver the plan.
  •  Analyse the performance of campaigns, providing commentary on performance and lessons learnt
  • Awareness of the marketplace to ensure Phase Eight stays ahead of the competition, identifying its unique selling and brand proposition
  • Maintain and develop relationships with the press, influencers and 3rd party collaborators. Ensuring that the brand and its products are regularly in the public space
  •  Regular liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners to align all PR/Marketing activity with key business objectives and ensure a succinct brand image through all channels

Retail Marketing:

  • Work closely with Retail Ops and Regional Managers on marketing opportunities, ensuring they receive all the relevant materials on time
  • Align pack launches/POS/window campaigns to marketing and PR initiatives
  • Success market store openings and key events (e.g. relaunches)
  • Work closely with internal teams (creative, ecommerce, marketing, concessions) to ensure retail marketing messages are appropriately communicated
  • Manage the marketing budget
  • Analyse all marketing activity post implementation to assess whether it met ROI targets and whether it’s a tactic worth pursuing in the future
PR:
  • Building relationships to generate coverage with fashion press, influencers and bloggers to grow Phase Eight awareness and drive sales both in the UK and international markets
  • Create strong promotions, reader offers, competitions, brand partnerships and external events that are on brand, deliver ROI and aid customer acquisition, engagement or reactivation
  • Input with planning and producing the seasonal campaign to ensure fashion forward, press relevant lookbooks are delivered. Liaise with the wider marketing team on key launch dates, ensuring the right images are produced and distributed for retail, international, email and PR optimisation and consistent messaging is achieved across all channels
  • Work closely with internal teams (creative, ecommerce, marketing, concessions) to ensure PR messages are appropriately communicated
  • Liaise with buying and merchandising to ensure key lines are communicated and sufficient stock is available on promoted lines. Ensure the media have access to requested samples post the press show
  • Manage a press calendar of key messages, news events and stories to ensure press opportunities are optimised
  • Write press releases for new season, new product or brand launches
  • Support online growth, driving traffic to the website through link building, ensuring growth targets are met. Ensure retail promotional campaigns are also reflected online where relevant
  • Analyse media coverage and report on best ROI tactics.
  • Manage the end-to-end production of key events, including large scale press days, store events, exhibitions, and fashion shows. Brief relevant teams on requirements and deadlines
  • Be a spokesperson for the brand, sourcing appropriate profiling opportunities for the board of directors and handling trade press enquiries and sensitive business announcements for in-house brands and for TFG London
 

About You

  • Great organisational capability with the proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of the fashion industry and key press titles
  • Commercial acumen - demonstrable experience of managing budgets
  • Proactive and ability to work independently
  • Media savvy - you understand and have experience of media titles/channels and relationships
  • Engaging and excellent copywriting skills with the ability to convey authentic, compelling messages with our brand tone of voice
  • Creative thinker who is passionate about inspiring our current and potential customers
This role will be blended working; based in our South West London offices and remotely.
