We are looking for a Technical Admin Assistant to join our Garment Technology team here at Hobbs. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional administrative support to the Garment Technologist and contribute to the success of the department.
The Garment Technology team play a crucial part in ensuring the success of our Hobbs products. They partner closely with Design and Buying to bring our collections to life, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of fit, quality and performance. They are also dedicated to ethical and sustainable practices, working with our supply chain to minimise our environmental impact.
As a Technical Admin Assistant, you’ll collaborate with the Garment Technology team to build strong relationships with our suppliers. You'll also work closely with the departments Garment Technologists to prepare for fit sessions, including chasing samples, updating workbooks and documenting fit notes with photos and comments.
Key accountabilities include:
- Fit Sessions: Attend fit sessions, take thorough fit notes, measure models, and update fit logs and workbooks with detailed comments.
- Product Evaluation: Conduct competitor shopping, assist in reviewing test reports and wash care instructions.
- Supplier Relationships: Build strong relationships with suppliers to enhance knowledge of product development processes.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Senior Garment Technologist to analyse returns and faulty products, identifying and addressing quality issues.
